It was another amazing year for the Smithtown IAB and Smithtown CSD!
The IAB recently hosted its final end of year celebration. The celebration included honoring our Smithtown IAB partners for their continued support, honoring our Smithtown IAB Student Ambassadors for representing our school in such a professional manner, recognizing all of our seniors for their achievements and presenting the 2024 scholarship recipients with their scholarship checks from each donor.
As a part of the celebration, Melissa Sullivan, HSE, and Jacqueline Caulin, HSW, were invited to speak about their reflections over the past four years as very involved students in the Smithtown IAB. All seniors wore their college jerseys and reflected upon their time in the Smithtown CTE Department/The Smithtown IAB and how the experiences helped shape their future career goals. After the students reflected, our Smithtown IAB members were given the opportunity to give the graduates their own words of encouragement and advice.
A special thank you to Mujen Engelman and Casimir George, from M&T Bank, Linda Cherney and Ron Rothman, from The Smithtown Rotary, and Suffolk County Clerk Vincent Puleo for presenting each scholarship recipient with their scholarship awards.
The Smithtown IAB provides our Smithtown students with real opportunities to network with industry professionals and develop a sense of professionalism that we are so proud of.
We look forward to another exciting and involved year in 2024-2025!
